EFE Agency let us know in March that most of the Brotherhoods (Hermandades), which are local, religious groups involved in the Holy Week celebration, want to show their rejection of the law the Government of Spain wants to approve concerning the liberalization of abortion.

These Brotherhoods want to show their rejection by adding to their typical apparels  white “against-abortion” ribbons. Although this initiative was born in Córdoba, (city located in Andalucía, South of Spain), more Brotherhoods from different Spanish cities are joining (Valladolid and Toledo). On the other hand, Sevilla, among other cities, informs they are not going to follow this call.

(Does any of you have an explantion for this? I supposed all brotherhoods, being catholic, should follow Catholic church ideas…)
